This Mother’s Day, we’re celebrating the women in our life who hold dearest to our hearts. We had a session with our #MASARIMOMS, Mita Soedarjo, Renata Kusmanto, and Ola Harika. The inspiring moms share a little bit about their motherhood journey.

Renata Kusmanto

Model and actress Renata Kusmanto talk about her motherhood tips while adjusting to the new normal. Known for her feminine, effortless style, the proud mama-of-two looks gorgeous in Peggy Hartanto dress while River and Clover dons matching Petit Bateau hoodies.

What does motherhood mean to you?

Motherhood is a 24/7 duty, which I embrace.

How are you navigating the ‘new normal’ when it comes to spending more time at home with your family?

I always try to give myself some me-time everyday, to keep myself sane.

What 3 things do first-time-mothers need to know?

Your life wouldn't be the same again, ever.
How time flies, in a blink of an eye.
Always be grateful and grateful and grateful for whatever it is.

Mita Soedarjo

Meet our #MASARIMOM Mita Soedarjo, the working mama-of-two who is the head of one of the biggest media groups in Indonesia. She is known for her sophisticated, confident style, and being the loving and inspiring figure to her two daughters, Jemma and Marielle.

What does motherhood mean to you?

For me motherhood is a special gift given by God. As a woman, being able to be a mother is such a gift that I would never take for granted.

How do you balance your family and your job?

I don't think its ever going to be balanced. To achieve the balance is a never ending effort and it will exhaust you. I learn to just give my best for both family and work and prioritize each day what needs to be done first.

What are you most proud of in your motherhood journey?

Each of their achievements since they were babies, for example crawling, said their first words, and now being a toddler at school learning to read and write are their daily achievements and I am so proud of that. And those daily achievements I hope I will experience until they are adults. I'm hoping they will be good people with a good heart.

Ola Harika

The entrepreneur mom, Ola Harika, told us a little bit about her motherhood stories while having a mother-daughter photoshoot session with Petit Bateau. Khaaliqa and Loulou’s mom juggles her successful party-planning business and motherhood life. This super chic mama is known for her eclectic style.

What does motherhood mean to you?

A mother is a selfless, loving human who must sacrifice many of their wants and needs for their children. A mother works hard to make sure their child is equipped with knowledge, skills and abilities to make it as a competent human being. Being a mother is perhaps the hardest, most rewarding job a woman will ever experience.

What was the best advice on motherhood have you ever received?

Be who you needed when you were young.

What was your favorite thing about having little kids?

You get to re-live your childhood and do all the stuff you loved doing when you were a child. Theme parks, Disney movies, baking cookies, dressing up. You have the perfect excuse to do it all over again.
