The Roundup: Five Designers, One Runway, a New MASARI
Over five decades, MASARI has evolved far beyond its roster of brands—transforming its aesthetic, identity, and place within Indonesia’s fashion landscape. To celebrate its 50th anniversary, MASARI brought together five designers who have been part of its journey from the beginning: TOTON, ARI, Peggy Hartanto, Friederich, and Sean Sheila, each creating an exclusive collection for MASARI and MASARISHOP.COM.
Inspired by the twists and turns of five decades, ‘The Curve: Lapisan Waktu’ reflects the idea that no journey is ever truly linear. The collections made their runway debut at Fashion Nation 2026 in collaboration with Senayan City. The night brought familiar faces to the front row, including Eva Celia in TOTON, Rania Putrisari in ARI, Carissa Puteri in Peggy Hartanto, Mikha Tambayong in Friederich, and Titi Radjo Padmaja in Sean Sheila.
After the runway, the celebration continued at the newly transformed MASARI Senayan City, where guests discovered a new chapter for the house. An egg-hatching installation set the tone for the evening, symbolizing MASARI’s rebirth, while Diskoria brought the celebration to life with their signature lineup of Indonesian songs. The anniversary also came with a purpose. Joined by the #MASARIPEOPLE, including Anaz Siantar, Ayla Dimitri, Elxi Elvina, Gitta Yunanda, Irani Vianza, Jovi Adhiguna, Michelle Hendra Park, Patricia Devina Dextra, Kallula, and Tisha Dionetta, MASARI introduced exclusive T-shirts created by the five designers, with proceeds supporting school restoration and access to children’s education affected by the earthquake in Nusa Tenggara Timur in partnership with NYATA Foundation.
